Finnfund (the Finnish Fund for Industrial Cooperation Ltd) is a Finnish development finance company with the mission of making a difference by financing responsible companies in developing countries.
Werklig made a comprehensive brand renewal based on a communication strategy. The challenge was to find balance between the financial credibility and being a contributing organisation. The new identity chose to put aside the symbolic monetary and measurement features and focus on a unifying approach bringing people and countries together. The globe became a living feature throughout the identity using the contrast between big and small, from the typographic detail to a zoomed glimpse of the globe. The data visualisations are also linked to the identity. All this builds a comprehensive and warm communication tool for Finnfund as an active negotiator with local knowledge.
