Some chairs before being customized.

This years Interior fair Habitare Ahead! has invited people from different professional organizations to customise some chairs as an attempt to show how old chairs get a new look in the hands of professionals. The chairs are from Kierrätyskeskus (Helsinki Metropolitan Area Reuse Centre Ltd).

Each of the five organizations: Ornamo (The Finnish Association of Designers), SIO (Association of Interior Architects), Grafia (Association of Professional Graphic Designers) and SAFA (Finnish Association of Architects) has chosen 5-6 groups or designers to represent their organization. Grafia invited me and Jaakko Pietiläinen to be one on the 5 teams to represent them. The others were Dog design, Hahmo, Erik Brun and Yatta.
